The Tamang Heritage Trail is a popular trekking route in the Langtang region of Nepal. The Tamangs are an ethnic group from Eastern Tibet that migrated to Nepal and the trek takes you on a journey to several Tamang villages and settlement where you will get to see the beautiful monasteries with their iconic praying flags. You get to experience the natural beauty and the cultural heritage that has virtually been untouched by modernization. Throughout the journey, you will get to witness the various peaks such as Lantang Lirung, Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Sanjhen ranges and many more. The best time to for this trip would be during spring (March to May) where the forest turns red with Rhododendron flowers which is also the national flower of Nepal You can also go on this trip during autumn (September to November) as the cold temperatures during winter might not be suitable.
Detailed Itinenary

Day 01
Arrival to Kathmandu
Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representatives will pick you up and take you to your hotel, Hotel Yatri Suites and Spa where you will be spending the night.

Day 02
Kathmandu to Syabru Besi
After our breakfast, we will begin our trek to Tatopani which will take about 7 hours. Tatopani translates to 'hot water' in Nepali and this village got its name from the natural hot springs that emanate from the rocks beside the Kali Gandaki River. This place is popular among locals who seek comfort from pain as the boiling water is said to have medicinal and healing powers. It is a good place to stop by for people who are suffering from rheumatism and muscle and stiffness and rehabilitation.

Day 03
Tatopani Trek
After our breakfast, we will begin our trek to Tatopani which will take about 7 hours. Day 04
Nagthali Trek
Leaving Tatopani, we will start our climb to Nagthali through a deep damp forest of old rhododendron trees. This will lead us to a small Tamang village of Brimdang. From Brimdang, we will further ascend to Nagthali viewpoint which is at a height of 3165m. In clear weather, you will able to catch the breathtaking views Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal and Sanjen ranges. This village was once a popular meditation centre from the local monks and priests.

Day 05
Lingling Trek
Our destination for today is Lingling. From Nagthali, we will trek along and pass through the Thuman village. From there we will head onto Timure where we can take small tea breaks at the tea houses. We will then continue further up to Rasuwagadi and pass through to Brimdim to finally reach Lingling.

Day 06
Syabru Besi
The next day we will begin our journey back home by trekking back to where we started, Syabru Besi. It’s all downhill descent to Syabru Besi. At the end of the trek, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to celebrate the completion of the trek with some drinks and meals.

Day 07
Kathmandu
After breakfast, we begin our 8-hour drive back to Kathmandu. If you missed out on some of scenic views at the start of the journey, the return trip is the perfect chance.

Day 08
Departure
This will be your last day in Nepal. Since the flight is at night, you have a whole day to yourself to go visit some last-minute tourist spots in Kathmandu of buy some souvenirs. In the evening we will drop you off at the international airport and hope to see you soon.
