Day 02
Travellers from all over the world flock to Nepal just to see one of the tallest mountains in the world, Mt Everest which is why no trip to Nepal is complete without the Everest Mountain flights although it is optional. This flight is best for people who are unable to trek to the Himalayas. It offers tourists with the opportunity to get a peek of the majestic Himalayan regions including Everest. The flight is an hour long and usually operates in the morning. After Breakfast you will check out of the hotel and enjoy a day of sightseeing of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Darbar square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a popular attraction in Kathmandu Valley. It was named after Hanuman, the monkey god and has statues of Hanuman that is said to protect the palace by standing guard right at the entrance. Within the palace is the residence of the living goddess Kumari known as Kumari Bahal. Young pre-pubescent girl from the town is chosen to be the living goddess and a glimpse from these Kumari is believed to bring good fortune. There are prominent temples as well such as the Kal Bhairav. Kal literally means death and Bhairav is the vicious form of Lord Shiva. Together it literally stands of “Lord of death”. The temple served as a supreme court back in the 6th century and anyone found lying in front of the temple would die by the powers of the lord. After the tour you will have your lunch and then make your way to the airport to catch a flight to Pokhara. Once you arrive, you will be taken to your hotel and checked in.

Day 03
After an early breakfast, we will drive to Kimche on a 4WD Jeep. This is where we will begin our trekking journey to Tadapani via Ghandrung. Ghandrung is one of the largest Gurung village, one of the ethnic groups in Nepal. The trail ascends along stone-paved steps and through forests of rhododendron, orchids etc. The village offers splendid views of the majestic mountains of Annapurna, Machhapucchare and Himchuli. On the way you will pass through Deurali Danda as well. After lunch we will continue our trek to Tadapani. The name Tadapani literally means “far water” in Nepali which came about because back then the water source was far away from the village. Of course, times are different now. The uninterrupted view of the Annarpurna range is totally worth the climb.

Day 04
I hope you are recharged for yet another grueling day of climbing. Today you will be trekking to Ghorepani which will take about 5-7 hours depending on your speed. The village is surrounded by spectacular views of the mountain range which is why it is so popular with the trekkers. Lunch will be provided in route while dinner will be served at the Ghorepani Local lodge.

Day 05
The Poon Hill trek is a popular trek of the Annapurna region. This place offers one of the best sunrise views in the entire Annapurna region. The golden hue of the rising sun is cast upon the snow-capped mountains of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Machhapuchhre to name a few which you leave astounded at the beauty. It’s worth every grueling step you took. You can grab a cup of masala tea for some warmth and enjoy the view. After taking in all the beauty you will hike back to Ghorepani for breakfast. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the village.
-
Day 06
After breakfast, you will trek to Sikha which will take around 4 hours. Sikha is not really a normal stop along this trail. There are a few guesthouses here. Unlike the other somewhat commercialized villages that have all the touristy amenities, Sikha is a proper functioning village where farmers spend the afternoon milking cows, feeding goats and doing other chores. From there you will be driven back to Pokhara in a Jeep and lunch and dinner will be both served at the hotel.
-
Day 07
Today you will be flying back to Kathmandu and then you will be taken to Nagarkot. Nagarkot lies just 32 km of Kathmandu and is a popular spot amongst the locals for a weekend getaway. The village is packed with hotels and all of them offer the views of the Himalaya from the balcony on clear weather days. It’s a perfect place to avoid the chaos of the city. You will be staying at Club Himalayan.

Day 08
The next morning you can wake up extra early and watch the sunrise and the mountain from your resort. After breakfast, you can take a short hike around the hotel and enjoy the quiet nature walk and soak in the freshness of nature and mountainous oxygen around the resort. After your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and spend the rest of the day before your flight visiting 2 of the iconic places in Nepal; Bhaktapur Darbar square and Patan Darbar square. Bhaktapur Darbar square is renowned for its metal and stone artifacts and architecture from the 15th century. The 55-window palace is the main attraction of the square and used to be the residence for the royal family. As the name suggests there are 55 windows that have beautifully carved peacocks which are now a national treasure. It is now a gallery that is used to exhibit the craftsmanship of the prehistoric times. The main access point is the Golden Gate that is known for its gold-plated metalwork. Another attraction there is the Nyatapola Temple. Nyatapola in Newari means five storied and is the tallest pagoda built in Nepal. Each story represents one of the 5 basic elements. The temple is dedicated to goddess Siddhi Laxmi who holds tantric power and success. After the tour of the palace, you will have your lunch and continue onto Patan Darbar Square.
