Tharu Cultural Museum

The Tharu Culture Museum provides tourists with an insight into the Tharu culture and rituals they practice which are rapidly disappearing within the Tharu group. During the three stages of their lifecycle, the museum harbors a mosaic of the Tharu people’s cultural customs-premarital, marital and post marital. This gives tourists a rare opportunity to see the real Tharu group on the way to the museum, where culture and customs are presented as a replica.

This provides a wealth of information about the culture and customs of the Tharu that is portrayed in the museum’s drawings, and displays materials. It portrays agricultural activities and various group rituals during their life cycle, accompanied by displayed antiquates, tools, instruments, etc.
